Ugh

I'm sick again .. fever, cough, headache. I even left work early. Getting sick on a Friday is just wrong.  Shivering from under the cover, Im now realizing that I've been sick more often the past 18 months than during the previous 6 years. And I finally put 2 and 2 together. I've been sick a lot more since my daughter had started going to school. I'm not a germophobic but I'm starting to be a bit weary. I don't send my kid to school when she is sick. Why do other parents not follow that simple principle?

  1. Oh no, I hope you are feeling better soon. It drives me crazy too when parents won't keep their sick kids at home. X

  2. Welcome to the perpetual sick years. I call school the human petri dish. I would pick my son up and squirt him with Purell before I let him in the car and when he started coming home by himself, it was wash hands, do not touch anything before you do. Drives me nuts that people send sick kids to school. Especially if those same kids get awarded with a "perfect attendance" certificate! Hello? There's a reason why the other kids were absent! Feel better.

  4. Ugh...get well soon.

I agree sick kids should be kept home - I hate seeing kids with green snot when I am helping at school...how can a parent think that is healthy enough to send to school?

  8. when it will be time for kingerdarten, she will be always healthy! and so will you!
Children (adults) are contagious before they show any signs of desease....and preschool and daycare are probably the best place to grow just about any thing!!
My kids brought back pneumonia and foot-and-mouth desease, twice! It made everybody laugh in France!
I hope you feel better soon.
