What I've been up to - Week 11

Not much crafting this week, but it still was pretty busy.

I cleaned up the studio and took some pictures because I'm getting ready to participate to the Spring Stashbust and than involves taking pictures of your stash. Showing my stash yes, showing my mess, not so much.

Check out all the details and sign up here

I made a couple of little things here and there but none are finished enough to show. I was just too tired. While my FIL is doing quite well with his second round of chemo,  I have been struggling with some health troubles of my own. Thankfully it's nothing to serious. While I was resting, I've been making a lot of ... fabric flowers. Don;t worry about my sanity, I have a plan for all of these.

There were questions about whether the blossom accessories I make are available somewhere. They will be. I decided that Etsy is not for me and I am going to try Woopdwhoop.

The highlight of the week was yesterday. Amie and I went together to a local quilt show organized by the quilting guild my aunt Joan is a member of  the Baltimore Heritage Quilters' Guild :

We saw some absolutely stunning art quilts, some simple, some complex, some traditional and some modern and I took a lot of pictures (200+). I will share some with you over the coming week.

If you are in Baltimore or close by, the show runs until 5pm tonight and there is a raffle to win a Bernina  sewing machine:

We had a great time although Amie was a bit overwhelmed by so much talent displayed. I'm a believer anyone can create a beautiful quilt if they let their inspiration talk rather than try to copy someone else's work. All you have to do is to find your "inner quilter". I caught a glimpse of mine but I'm still looking.
