Secret project revealed

Last month I mentioned I had been working on a super secret project. It had been finished for a while and recently was given as a birthday present. The reason it was secret was that the intended recipient is no stranger to the blogging world. But now that it won't be spoiling the surprise I can show it to you.

Yes it's another pillow with herringbone tucks.

And a surprise in the back
I pieced a checker pattern from Kona solids and a couple of squares of the front color

It was a fun project
(except for the zipper - somehow I always struggle with zippers)

  2. This is beautiful! Lovely. What kind of fabric did you use? I have never worked with anything "shiny" before, do you need a special needle? x

  4. Oh - I get the zipper issue.

Talk about a seriously time consuming project. Yikes - I couldn't do it without losing my mind.
